Monday 6th May: 

 The coach will arrive at Westlands Sports and Social Club Old Tennis Courts Car Park at 08:00am 

 Coach will depart at 08:30 am. - You will then travel North via the motorway with suitable comfort stops at Gloucester Services and Trentham for Lunch.  

 Tuesday 7th May:  

Tour of the Peaks and free time in Sheffield - Leave hotel at 09:30 - Depart hotel for Sheffield approx. 1hr drive. To Sheffield: A6 – A6020 – A619 – A621 – A61 – Pond Hill Coach Drop off. From Sheffield: A61 – A57 – A6013 – A6187 – A623 – A6 – Hotel The different routes in and out of Sheffield will allow for the tour of different areas of the Peaks. 

 Wednesday 8th May:  

Churnet Valley Railway   

 You will have some free time in the morning, to either explore Buxton or spend some time in the hotel. We will leave at 12:45, to arrive in good time for the railway departure from Froghill Station. You will enjoy a delicious Staffordshire Cream Tea, with coffee/tea and fresh cakes in the comfort of a classic 1960s First Class dining carriage, hauled by a steam locomotive.   

All of the Railways dining trains operate a smart casual dress code and we have been asked to dress accordingly for this trip; No jeans, tracksuits, Walking shoes, trainers, hats or sweatshirts. 

Thursday 9th May:  

Heights of Abraham - We will depart the hotel at 10:30am following breakfast. - Once arrived after a 40-minute journey to the Heights of Abraham Andy will check you all in. - Your ticket will include - Cable Car Journey - Two Famous Show Caverns - Masson Pavilion - High Falls Film Theatre - The Long View Exhibition As you will spend the day here, there is a restaurant and a café available on site. The terrain of this site means it is not suitable for mobility scooters, and there are some steps and uneven ground. 

There is a Waitrose a short walk from the hotel should you want create your own picnic. 

 Friday 10th May 

Heading Back to the South-West - Today you will head back to the West Country. - You will depart the Hotel and head back down the country a slightly different route stopping at the market town of Market town of Melton Mowbray where you will be stopping to get some refreshments or lunch From here you will continue south stopping halfway for a comfort stop at the servicesYou will arrive back at Westlands Sports and Social Club late afternoon. 

Your Hotel: 


 The Brittania Palace Hotel, located in the spa town of Buxton. Since 1868, the Palace Hotel has been a prominent building in Buxton, set in five acres of stunning landscaped gardens. It is perfectly located and a great option for a hotel in Buxton. 

 The Palace Hotel has many on-site facilities for guests to enjoy. Dovedale Restaurant serves a full English breakfast each. The hotel also features a health and leisure club (small fee applies) with an indoor pool, gym, spa, sauna and steam rooms. The hotels spacious en-suite bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, TV, and hairdryer.  

Wi-Fi is available free of charge in public areas and there is a 24-hour reception for your convenience. The Pavilion Gardens are just a short 6-minute walk away from the hotel and are set within 23 acres of magnificent, landscaped gardens.
