Walk from The Lamb & Lark, Limington 26-8-08

This mornings walk was a combined effort by Peter, Doreen, Ron and Annett. It was their first effort with our group and it was much appreciated by all the members on the walk.

Thirty three members assemble for the walk on a dull, cool morning. We moved off promptly at 9:30 and walked southwards along Thornhill Lane.

The first part of the lane was very muddy but we were told that it had been far worse when Peter and Doreen had walked it a few days earlier. The lane climbed gently over a low ridge, giving a view of the northern edge of Yeovil, and then widened and dropped to a junction with another path that was to take us westwards to Movey Lane.

Some of the group would have walked this piece of path, in the reverse direction, a few years ago... Read full article
